Kincumber Action Team (KAT) was formed as a CDAT (Community Drug action Team) in response to the Kincumber community’s concern re anti-social behaviour fuelled by irresponsible consumption of alcohol. One of our first initiatives is to partner with the Regional Youth Support Service to hold a one hour session with all year 9 students at Kincumber high School looking at the consequences of risky drinking. This is being done through drama. There will also be workshops for parents and others concerned with the topic. Look out for our banner in June on the Council’s Kincumber Banner site at Frost Reserve. This is the first initiative of KAT. We hope to partner with other organisations/services for further projects. If you are interested in the subject and concerned enough to want to help we welcome your attendance at our meetings. We meet on the fourth Thursday of the month at 1pm at the Kincumber Neighbourhood Centre. Ph June on 4363 1044
Kincumber now has our own community website. Check it out at Kincumber.nsw.au.
